Introducing our New AG-BAG Bulk Silage Bagger

Storing your silage crop in a bag is one of the most efficient ways of achieving high quality silage. The Ag-bag is your cost effective alternative to the traditional silage stack, with a cover and tyres on top. Over 20 years of research has proven, storing chopped silage and wet feed in long, horizontal oxygen-deficient tubes until feed-out, will significantly reduces spoilage losses, improves the quality of feed, which intern contributes to cow productivity and health through better-quality feed.

The 3 Metre diameter bags vary in lengths from 60-150 metres and are made from a very heavy duty 230 micron plastic.

The 3 X 75 metre bag holds approximately 300 tonnes of silage.

How it works:

The bagged silage pressing machine compact silage in a unique way that results in the highest quality bulk silage. The bulk trucks or trailer back into the bagger an tip their load into the unloading conveyor, then the conveyer shifts the load through a set of teething beater that spread the crop out evenly into a constant layer ready for compacting. The forage then falls down into the pressing rotor and is forced into the bag by large pressing fingers, similar to the feed rotor on a baler. The Pressing rotor keeps filling the bag until the bag has reached the desired compaction, this is controlled by the compact markings on the bag.
